Relationships with audience

I often get frustrated when I have to think about the audience. During the making of Monologues of n Women, we didn’t think about this question too much. We were focused on what we wanted to say primarily. I mean, we did spend a lot of time hoping the audience would feel somewhat hopeful in the end but the relationship with the audience wasn’t dynamic.
